Abu Dhabi"s Weather and a brief look at the climate of Abu Dhabi for those visiting.
Abu Dhabi"s location in shallow waters of the Gulf and the general geography of the area have resulted in the climate and temperature of Abu Dhabi being generally warm and dry all year-round. The seasons are separated into four, with June to September often being very hot, this heat can be accompanied by high levels of humidity which results in making the apparent feel temperature in Abu Dhabi much higher than it actually is, which you really notice when the actual temperature is over 40*C, resulting in it being very uncomfortable outside, even at night.

August and September are usually the worst months for heat and humidity but you can also have periods of very pleasant weather in these months. From December through to March the climate is much more pleasant with cooler temperatures and the occasional rain showers, which can be heavy. The odd large storm system is not unusual at this time of year with high winds and heavy rain. December and January can be cold, especially at night with the temperature dropping towards10*C, Abu Dhabi also sometimes experiences rain at this time. If you are visiting Abu Dhabi at this time bring a jumper and Jacket. The real feel temperature with the wind factor taken into account can get low. April/May and October/November are regarded as the transitional months and are usually a great time to be outdoors and this brings a more Mediterranean type climate to Abu Dhabi.
